ActiveState offers end-to-end management and distribution solutions for Perl, Python and Tcl to help businesses reduce downtime, eliminate complexity, ensure compliance and reduce legal risk. Companies like Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard, Credit Suisse, First Boston and Siemens, along with over 97% of Fortune 1000 corporations, plus many small and medium-size businesses and government organizations, rely on ActiveState's technology for their critical systems.

Fuse was called in to build ActiveState’s new Drupal based corporate site. We themed, we configged, we conquered.  The result is a web presence that is fully manageable by the ActiveState marketing team.  Sweet.

Aritzia

Aritzia was born out of Vancouver’s upscale department store, Hill’s of Kerrisdale. Established in 1984, Aritzia's boutiques are now featured in select cities across the US and Canada.

Fuse was originally contracted to take care of Aritzia's newsletter marketing and subscriber management needs, but things quickly got hot and heavy - must have been the stylish techno-chic gear we wore to our meeting. All of a sudden we were building out Aritzia.com. Aritzia has fully bought into the Drupal platform for their site management needs. In addition to saving thousands of dollars each year on site updates, Aritzia marketing gurus love the speed at which they can deploy timely content updates. We are using the Drupal multisites module to run all Aritzia's sites so that we only need to maintain a single code base.

Future Shop

Future Shop is one of Canada’s premier (ok..probably the premier) electronics retailers.  But you probably already know that.

Fuse has been working with FutureShop for several years now on some interesting projects.  Some of you may know Aaron & Alex, the interactive avatars for the Ask an Expert section. We built the engine that manages and serves up the ask an expert section of the site.

Kentwood

Kentwood is a designer and manufacturer of premium quality hardwood flooring. Based in Vancouver, BC, the company has sales and manufacturing operations in Canada, the US, Europe and Asia. Since its introduction in 2003, the Kentwood collection has grown to include hundreds of styles of authentic hardwood floors and Kentwood products have been installed in thousands of homes from Seattle to Salzburg to Shanghai.

We were stoked to take the Kentwood web revamp on.  Regional, Multilingual and Beautiful were some of the requirements and I think we came through.

X-Weighted

For three seasons, X-Weighted has followed unique and courageous individuals on their precarious weight-loss journeys. The brave participants exposed all in their daily war on fat and their brutal honesty, openness and perseverance made for compelling and inspiring viewing. Now, moving into its fourth season, X-Weighted turns its focus on a Canadian epidemic - obese families.

The popular Canadian weight loss reality show airing on Slice Network had a mandate to bring X Weighted to the masses through the web. The result is a 26 week online National Challenge that leverages social networking, weight loss tools, professional guidance & let's not forget the sweet sweet prizes all in an effort to help Canadians lose weight.

The Punk Movie

thepunkmovie.comlaunched in 2010 to accompany the documentary Bloodied But Unbowed. On-line content includes webisodes, background articles, and just as importantly, your feedback. Dedicated to musicians, artists and fans of the first wave of Vancouver punk rock, the site is also designed to act as an ongoing historical and archival resource.

Fuse was thrilled to be a part of this project.  The site is a real gift to those interested in the Vancouver music scene.   Really fun site to design and build as well.  As usual, Drupal was the perfect fit, handling hundreds of articles and webisodes.

Talula Babaton

Talula Babaton is one of Aritzia's most excellent private brands.   Fuse was given the mandate to create a site for Talula Babaton that was all about the hero shot.  Big imagery - like filling the screen, no matter what size the browser window.  We immediately thought Flash would be the best for this job, but we needed this to be fully manageable by our good friend Drupal.  So we introduced SlideShowPro to Drupal, they shook hands, and walked off into the sunset.  The result is a fully manageable Flash/html/javascript mashup that met that mandate of full screen imagery, scales beautifully and fully emphasizes the incredible Spring/Summer 2010 collection photography.

Botan Construction

Botan Construction is a Green-focused construction company based out of Ottawa Ontario.  Botan had been using Open Atrium for several months already when they came to us for help.  They loved the simplicity of managing their projects through Open Atrium but there were a few unique workflow challenges specific to the construction industry that made OA less than perfect. 

Botan had a long list of functional enhancements that would turn Atrium into the ideal collaboration tool for them.  They brought these to Fuse and we made them happen.   Botan is now thrilled with the transformation.  Efficiency is up and the iPad wielding project managers are better equipped to run their jobs.

Unirac

 

Unirac leads the PV mounting market with industry-leading technology and a breadth of product solutions and services designed to meet the needs of any type of solar installation. Since delivering its first PV mounting system in 1998, Unirac has experienced remarkable growth of its innovative and superior racking systems. We continue to be selected for many prominent installations such as the Google Campus in Mountain View, California, the largest corporate solar installation in the U.S. to date; as well as Universal Studios, in California.

Taymor

 

For more than half-a-century, Taymor has been bringing quality design and manufacturing to the hardware and accessories that are the essential elements of every Canadian home.
 
Fuse was engaged to design and build Taymor's new website to bring it in line with Taymor's rebranding initiative.  One of the highlights of this project is the advanced searching and filtering options for the product catalogue.   Fuse made Drupal and Apache Solr play nice with each other resulting in an effective faceted search experience.   We also implemented some unique continuum sorting allowing visitors to find products on a continuum of traditional to modern products.

Ugi

 

Ugi was created by three women – all mothers and fitness enthusiasts -- who wanted a challenging, effective and sustainable workout that could fit into their busy lifestyles. Born out of an original fitness program designed by Sara Shears, Vancouver-based celebrity personal trainer and gym owner, Ugi has grown into a fitness lifestyle focused on realistic, healthy choices.

OpenRoad Auto Group

OpenRoad Auto Group is one of the fastest growing auto dealer groups in North America.  They came to Fuse for a redesign and a way to manage all their web properties from a central CMS.  Naturally we called on Drupal to save the day.  Some of the project/feature highlights include:
